Community Development Institute Head Start is Hiring an Assistant Teacher Near Lexington, MD

Location: Lexington Park, MDPay Period: Hourly
Salary Range: $ 16.67- $ 17.53
Weeks per Year: 42
Hours Per Week: 40

Assistant Teacher
Hourly Pay rate: $16.67 in progress of CDA/AA to $17.53 with CDA/AA/BA Completed

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, M - F, 42 weeks per year
Location: Lexington Park, MD
We are currently looking for a friendly and competent Assistant Teacher to join our Head Start team. If you are a compassionate and self-motivated individual with a specific interest in early education, we urge you to apply! In the Assistant Teacher position, you will be responsible for supervising students, assisting in developing lesson plans, preparing lesson materials, and maintaining classroom tidiness. As a minimum requirement, the ideal Applicant should have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential. Applicant’s able to be enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate degree, baccalaureate degree, or a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire will also be considered. Tuition assistance is provided in most cases.
