Community Development Institute Head Start is Hiring an Assistant Teacher Head Start Near Port Huron, MI

Location: Port Huron, MIPay Period: Biweekly
Salary Range: $ 11.93- $ 12.68
Weeks per Year: 37
Hours Per Week: 40

Assistant Teacher Head Start

We are currently looking for a friendly and competent Assistant Teacher to join our Head Start team. If you are a compassionate and self-motivated individual with a specific interest in early education, we urge you to apply! In the Assistant Teacher position, you will be responsible for supervising students, assisting in developing lesson plans, preparing lesson materials, and maintaining classroom tidiness.

Minimum requirement is one of the following:
1. A current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

2. Be enrolled in a CDA credential program immediately upon hire (and in no case later than 30 days from hire) and continuously work on CDI each semester (with summers off) until completion. Must be completed within two years of being hired into the position;

3.An associate or baccalaureate degree (in any area); or

4.Be enrolled in a program leading to an associate or baccalaureate degree and remain continuously enrolled and taking at least one class each semester until completion (summers may be taken off).

$11.93/hourly with CDA in progress; $12.68/hourly with CDA

Monday - Friday

40 hours per week, 37 weeks per year
