Description

About the Role:

Under supervision by a licensed clinician, clinical interns will provide individual and family therapy to youth, families, and adults primarily in an office-based outpatient setting. Interns will be expected to conduct mental health intakes, diagnose, and develop treatment plans collaboratively with clients as well as maintain compliance with Medicaid documentation requirements. Interns receive one hour of both individual and group supervision weekly and are encouraged to collaborate and consult with clinical staff and attend trainings to support clinical growth and development. Treatment will be focused on family systems and utilizing a trauma-informed approach. Ideal candidates will also have an interest in learning about community-based treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic services for youth, families, and adults
  • Provide services mostly in an office-based setting with potential to attend or shadow occasional meetings in community settings
  • Complete all necessary documentation (Mental Health Assessments, Treatment Plans, Progress Notes, etc.) in a complete and timely fashion, meeting agency standards/requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Supervisor and other members of youth treatment teams, as well as other community service providers, to coordinate and integrate all aspects of care.
  • Adhere to confidentiality practices and procedures according to agency policies
  • Always maintain compliance with agency policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Second year student completing advanced degree in relevant mental health field
