Community Counseling Center of Ashtabula County is a behavioral health care provider focused on engaging the community in recovery.

CCC has an immediate, full-time position available for a Children's Day Treatment Specialistresponsible for assisting clients in obtaining and maintaining employment that is consistent with their vocational goals and takes into consideration their individual strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences. These in-person services are provided throughout Ashtabula County.

This position is eligible for a signing bonus of up to $1000.

The position requires the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and their parents/guardians; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; and the ability to function as part of a partial hospitalization team by working effectively with others and adhering to established policies and procedures. This position requires training in first aid, CPR and de-escalation techniques (training can be provided if not current).

Responsible for leading or co-facilitating group and individual treatment interventions, activities, and discussions centered on appropriate social interactions and behavior management in a children’s Day Treatment Program. Participate in the planning, implementation, and follow-through of program activities. Complete documentation of client’s attendance and participation in program activities in a thorough and timely manner. Assess individual clients’ needs for program service and the development of individual service plan. Identifying services and resources necessary to achieve specific objectives and assess client’s progress in achieving program goals.

EDUCATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or related profession preferred. Two (2) years experience working with children; SED/SBH children or in a Partial Hospitalization/Day Treatment Program, or Master’s degree preferred. The position requires a valid driver’s license; driving infractions within the last three (3) years subject to the Corporation Handbook.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: LSW a plus. The position does requires a valid driver’s license (driving infractions within the last three (3) years subject to insurance carriers guidelines) and no drug, theft or felony charges. Reliable transportation; and adequate levels of insurance and insurability are required.
