QUALIFICATIONS Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Self Contained Elementary Education Endorsement. Experience working with diverse student populations, preferably in an urban to low-income setting. Knowledge of Title I regulations and experience implementing Title I programs preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and community members. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Demonstrated ability to use data to inform instructional decisions and monitor student progress. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment. SUMMARY The part time interventionist, under the guidance of the school administration and in accordance with Illinois guidelines for Title I programs, will provide targeted academic interventions to students identified as needing additional support in literacy and/or mathematics. This position requires an understanding of Title I regulations and a commitment to supporting the educational needs of at-risk students. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement research-based intervention strategies to support students' literacy and/or mathematics skills.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other interventionists to develop and implement intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
Administer assessments to monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies accordingly.
Provides opportunities for individualized and small-group instruction, adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of each pupil through engaging, research-based instructional strategies.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention services provided, in compliance with Title I guidelines and school policies.
Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment.
Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned workday.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and provide strategies for supporting learning at home.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in intervention instruction and Title I compliance.
Shares in the sponsorship and coordination of Title I parent involvement activities and meetings as needed.
Adhere to all federal, state, and district policies and regulations related to Title I programs.
Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS Able to utilize resources from a variety of computer programs and other work units. Must be able to communicate verbally and through email. Bending, carrying, climbing, lifting, pushing-pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to occasionally lift, move, or push items of 50 lbs. Hours: This is a part time position with hours to be determined based on student needs and Title I program requirements. Salary: Based on current teacher's contract.
