Community Concepts is Hiring a Group Home Operations Manager - Intellectual Disabilities Near Dumfries, VA

Community Concepts, Inc., a mission-driven business devoted to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in group residential settings, is looking for a FT Operations Manager who is flexible in spirit, has a positive attitude and are capable of supporting people with significant behavioral challenges. Our residential group homes are located in Prince William, Fairfax, and Stafford counties in Northern Virginia.

We are offering a $1,000 sign on bonus - $500 upon hire and an additional $500 after 90 days!

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and supervises site activities and daily operations
  • Supervises, schedules, trains, and evaluates Direct Support Professionals
  • Ensures appropriate staff coverage at all times; works a flexible schedule based on program needs to model for and closely supervise Direct Support Professionals
  • Maintains designated budget to include weekly budgeted staffing hours, house petty cash, and other assigned monies and resources; acts as petty cash custodian for all individuals and house funds
  • Communicates and coordinates with families, members of the Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), the individual’s day program and other providers of services and supports as necessary and appropriate
  • Monitors persons’ health to include medication administration and documentation, medical follow up, and appropriate nutrition
  • Carefully monitors and supports individual specific needs such as medical, behavioral, mental health and other needs
  • Assists individuals to develop daily living skills by identifying and meeting social, environmental and health care needs
  • Abilities to participate in on-call rotation to manage after business hours’ crises and urgent situations

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a human service field such as sociology, social work, specialist education, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, or psychology
  • One year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have an intellectual disability or other developmental disability
  • COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster is Required

Compensation:

  • Up to $56,000 salary per year
  • 4 weeks of vacation leave, 1 week of sick leave, and 2 personal days
