SCOPE OF WORK: Assist student services and academic teams to promote student success initiatives for both credit and non-credit programs. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs and will work collaboratively with the Lebanon Academic Center Supervisor.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Associate degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in counseling, education, liberal arts, general studies, or a related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience:Three years of experience in a responsible clerical or technical support position within an educational setting, with responsibility for providing program information to others. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License or access to transportation required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in teaching, academic advising, or counseling within an educational setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Zoom, Word Press, Adobe, and email marketing software.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of college policies, rules, regulations, procedures, organization, and function. Knowledge of principles of public administration. Strong organizational skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience in a higher education environment. Ability to properly compose a variety of correspondence with only general instructions. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts to identify existing or potential problems. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Ability to work independently and exercise proper judgment. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.
