OVERVIEW OF CCA
The Community College of Aurora (CCA) is a dynamic institution that is committed to serving its diverse student population through innovations in instruction and student support founded on principles of equity and inclusion. CCA is a public, two-year community college serving Aurora and east metro Denver and has been designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) by the U.S. Department of Education.
CCA enrolls 11,000 students annually, over 62% of whom are students of color, including nearly 32% Hispanic students. 65% of CCA students receive some type of financial aid, including 52% of whom receive Pell grants, and nearly two-thirds are first-generation college students. In addition to traditional degree and certificate programs, CCA offers non-credit professional development courses, customized training, and economic and workforce development resources to employer partners and individual professionals seeking to enhance the capacity and productivity of their workforce or individual knowledge and skills. The college centers our Inclusive Excellence work and applies an equity lens to everything we do.
POSITION SUMMARY

The Campus Visit Coordinator is a key member of the Center for Recruitment & Orientation. The Campus Visit Coordinator will assist with managing welcome centers and student recruitment initiatives including: fox visits, campus tours, community relationships, and others. The successful candidate will represent the college in a positive manner both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, community members, and other individuals or organizations. The Campus Visit Coordinator supports prospective students and visitors with knowledge and guidance of the enrollment process and provides informational opportunities for the college.
Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills
Welcome Center Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Advise and assist prospective students, families, and community members in explanation of academic programs and enrollment process.
  • Provide guidance and support to visitors and students via telephone, email, website, drop-in visits and other strategies.
  • Serves as the informational liaison between visitors and students for CCA community including but not limited to Financial Aid, Admissions, Registration and Records, Careers Services, Advising, Student Success, and Academic Success.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors of the College.
  • Manage and deliver student and staff ID's and ID machines.
  • Anticipate welcome center tasks and needs.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise the welcome center student assistants.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Recruitment Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide information on college opportunities, enrollment processes, as well as activities to all prospects, visitors, and participants of tours or fox visits via email, phone, text, in-person or other strategies.
  • Represent the Center for Recruitment & Orientation at all recruiting events and activities.
  • Ability to work independently to arrange, plan, and deliver fox visits and campus tours to promote the college in a positive manner.
  • Under the direction of the Director, support with budget management in connection with events.
  • Foster and develop relationships with visitors, prospective students, and community members.
  • Assist with the development of enrollment marketing publications and communications in collaboration with the Director, Center for Recruitment & Orientation and Communications & Marketing department.
  • Create and manage recruitment events through CRM Recruit.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Orientation Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Assistant Director, assist with the online new student orientation program.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations for changes and improvements to the orientation program based on established best practices, includes both online and on-campus programs.
  • Communicate with new students under the guidance of the Assistant Director.
Minimum qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with experience working in higher education, community-based organization, or closely related professional setting.
  • The ability to travel regularly and to load and transport admissions material, displays and other recruiting equipment.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Student Affairs, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field.
  • Bilingual
  • Experience coordinating programs and related on and off campus activities.
  • Professional experience in an office of college admission, outreach, enrollment services, new student orientation, financial aid, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Supplemental information
Salary Range: Anticipated starting salary is $44,517.00 CCA offers an excellent benefit plan, including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
