General Summary: The program coordinator assists the coordinating dean for Early Education and Child Development/Education to work with the faculty to promote the program internally and externally, assess student learning, keep the curriculum current, and serve the needs of the Early Education and Child Development/Education Advisory Committee.

Candidate must currently be a full-time faculty member teaching in the Early Education and Child Development/Education Programs.
Job Duties:
1. Program Promotion through presentations and coordination through admissions, registrations, recruitment.
2. Confer with the Department Heads and appropriate faculty at all sites where the programs are offered about the sequence for scheduling classes if program changes are made.
3. Meet with appropriate external agencies to expand educational opportunities, to assess accreditation standards and executing separate contracts (including attending meetings, scheduling classes, recruiting students, submitting reports, etc.), if necessary.
4. Coordinate among ECD Discipline program faculty assessment and follow-up activities to meet Middle States requirements in this area.
5. Coordinate among ECD Discipline faculty four-year program review for all Discipline programs.
6. Review assessment results, facilitate discussion among discipline faculty, and assist with implementing resulting recommendations
7. Meet with the Advisory Committee for the Programs and assist with implementing Committee recommended projects.
8. Collaborate with external organizations to develop and maintain a pipeline funding and for recruiting potential students.
9. Maintain contact with employers and other professionals in the field to secure practicum sites.
10. Provide as needed training to advisers at each campus assigning students to credit courses.
11. If appropriate, respond, in consultation with the Dean, to requests from external agencies related to offering courses in the discipline off-campus.
12. Hold Department meeting with faculty once in Fall and once in Spring semester.
13. Prepare a Semester Report and submit it to the Dean prior to the end of each semester after final grades are submitted along with the activities log.
14. Other related duties as required.
