Position Title: BNY Mellon Early College Program Assistant Director (Foundation FT)

General Summary: Promotes, coordinates and administers BNY Mellon Early College Program courses for 9th-12th graders. Represents CCAC at events and activities for students/families outside of the classroom setting. Frequently collaborates with CCAC directors, deans, workforce development, and regional presidents. Works with high school students on their success inside and outside of the classroom. Assists with non-credit curriculum design and monitors students' progress through credit and non-credit courses.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in education, science, marketing, business, social work or related field and a minimum of three years' experience OR an associate's degree in education, science, marketing, business, social work or related field and a minimum of five years' experience. Strong sales, organization, people and communication skills. Experience with sales, marketing, admissions and recruitment. Ability to coordinate programs, activities and events. Ability to interact with students, faculty, staff and external constituents. Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships. Supervision and leadership skills. Ability to use relevant data and produce enrollment reports. Ability to work independently and in a team setting to accomplish goals. Ability to multitask. Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, relational databases and web content development. Some evenings and weekends required along with travel to other locations.
Duties:
1. Promotes, coordinates and administers BNY Mellon Early College Program courses for 9th-12th graders.
2. Works with college leadership on enrollment management and retention initiatives for BNY Mellon Early College students.
3. Confers with prospective students and parents/family members regarding BNY Mellon Early College enrollment processes, academic programs, and support services.
4. Provides support to the BNY Mellon Early College Program Director.
5. Assists with curriculum design for live and asynchronous non-credit courses.
6. Schedules and conducts information sessions, programs, open houses, orientations, milestone events/activities, and workshops with Allegheny County school districts and community partners on BNY Mellon Early College Program Initiatives.
7. Expands college and career development learning experiences for all students to support career and college readiness.
8. Maintains knowledge of rules and regulations of CCAC by frequently reviewing and practicing to ensure compliance relative to other applicable duties.
9. Interfaces or networks with appropriate internal and external parties to develop or enhance recruitment opportunities and activities.
10. Develops and maintains relationships with personnel representing high schools, social agencies and organizations.
11. Maintains contact with the academic departments, placement, continuing education and college centers to remain current about new programs, program changes and other information critical to the successful recruitment of new students.
12. Keeps accurate records and statistical data.
13. Prepares and submits reports as requested.
14. Performs other duties as required or as assigned.
Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
