Community Christian School (CCS) of Overbrook, Kansas, is a non-denominational Christian school looking for a qualified candidate to be a partner teacher in our new and growing Christian school. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and be willing to continue their education regarding the job. We are looking for the right person who can be a self-starter and help to jump in, where and when needed. The candidate must follow Jesus Christ and be willing to share the Gospel as it integrates with the curriculum. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Create a supportive and friendly classroom environment that promotes learning and respect
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to guide their development
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational programs and initiatives
- Communicate regularly with the lead teacher, and parents/guardians to provide updates on student performance and address any concerns
- Use learning technology effectively to enhance instruction and engage students
- Implement classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and orderly learning environment
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning challenges.
- Other duties as assigned or requested
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Work toward teaching certification
- Experience with school-aged children
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and promote positive behavior- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students on an individual level
JOB TYPE:
- Full-time
- Working hours are 7:30 am- 3:30 pm
PAY:
- $18,000.00 - $25,000.00 per contract year
