The Community Charter School of Paterson is seeking a Manager of Community Schools
Reporting Relationship
The Manager of Community School reports to the CEO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities & Outcomes
Program Responsibilities:
Community School
Create and directly strategy to recruit community partners and, in doing so, expand our Community Advisory Board/21st CCLC Advisory Board.
Directly interface with donors, Community Advisory Board members, and other key organizational stakeholders.
Manage partner and vendor relations, including, but not limited to, contracts, MOUs, service documentation, and payments.
Conduct school district and community research to understand the school community better and school's needs
Attend community engagement events and meetings in order to network and build
relationships with businesses and organizations supporting education and youth programming.
Act as a liaison to develop and expand partnerships between school, community, county, and state agencies to provide health and wellness services.
Assist with submitting 21st CCLC grant applications, reports, and surveys.
Manage and oversee the day-to-day business operations of the Home School Council, including budget development, HSC board recruitment, elections, and workshops.
Develop and coordinate Home School Council fundraisers to support student and staff needs.
Increase stakeholder engagement with CCSP programs and activities and volunteer opportunities.
Attend all parent-focused meetings, including (but not limited to) HSC, Strengthening Family Program, report card night, etc.
Manage department logistics including, but not limited to, student registration, fee collections, parent/student correspondence, employee documentation, attendance, and assignments.
Maintain the Community Schools data collection system and files.
Assist with the development and implementation of all community events and workshops.
Support staff in other ways, including modeling lessons, supporting planning, assisting with fieldwork or service learning opportunities, contacting community experts, navigating scheduling issues, and providing resources.
Supervise and support the AmeriCorps Program.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
2 Years of Experience in program development, education, or not-for-profit settings
2 Years of Supervisory Experience
Commitment to equity and equal opportunity for underserved students
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively
Exceptional writing and communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships
High level of organization and attention to detail
Growth mindset and dedication to continuous learning
Project management proficiency and the ability to work independently and prioritize
work streams
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Suite
Comfort speaking publicly in a variety of settings
Bilingual
