Community Association Management Services is Hiring a Community Associate (Manager in Training) Near Myrtle, SC

Description

Community Association Management Services (CAMS) is one of the fastest-growing community association management companies in the southeastern US. We are seeking a motivated individual with prior property management experience to continue education and eventually work their way into becoming a Community Association Manager to be responsible for a portfolio of communities in the Myrtle Beach, SC region.

As a CAMS Community Associate, you will essentially be a Manager in Training, who will be responsible for learning how to manage a portfolio of our increasing number of homeowner’s associations. You will shadow Community Managers within the regional office and begin the educational journey to be a certified portfolio manager. Our managers are supported by a team of specialists dedicated to assisting the general membership of the communities we serve. Once your educational level aligns with being able to hold a portfolio of properties, duties will include and not be limited to the following:

The Ongoing Objectives of This Position Will Include

  • Maintaining communication with boards of directors and homeowners
  • Responding appropriately to homeowner needs
  • Preparing and presenting budgets to community boards
  • Analyzing monthly financial reports and creating variance reports for boards of directors
  • Creating monthly management reports
  • Contacting and coordinating with vendors for community maintenance and special projects
  • Overseeing daily operations of the HOAs in your portfolio
  • Attending regular meetings with the management firm
  • Supervising administrative and maintenance staff when applicable

Requirements

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to be detail-oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proven proficiency with learning new technology
  • Proven capability to review and analyze financial reports
  • Knowledge of proper meeting order
  • Ability to create and maintain a proper working budget
  • Excellent customer service skills

Preferred Education, Licensing and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 Years in the Property Management Field (strongly preferred)

Benefits and Salary

The position is full time and the salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. Starting annual salary begins at $40,000-$45,000 annually with an increase once promotion to full Community Manager takes place within 6 months to a year.

The CAMS compensation package includes a base salary and bonus opportunities. Medical, dental and vision plans are available, as well as 401(k), and life insurance.
