Community Health Services (CHS) is seeking a Medical Director to provide leadership and clinical oversight to a team of practicing clinicians. Our service area includes eight facilities that provide any combination of Medical, Behavioral Health, and/or Dental services. The Medical Director monitors and evaluates clinical performance to ensure medical services align with best practice and meet regulatory compliance. Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Medical Director will work with clinicians to deliver quality based healthcare and improve workflow efficiencies.
In this position, the Medical Director will train and mentor providers—including both physicians and advanced practitioners—to achieve performance and quality measures, develop strategies to improve communication with other medical and non-medical departments, and manage day-to-day clinical operations. The Director will also develop, implement, and review clinical policies and protocols, conduct peer reviews, and collaborate with Administrators to ensure strategic goals are achieved.
The Medical Director must be a Board-Certified MD or DO, with at least three years’ experience practicing medicine. Must have a current Ohio medical license in good standing and with no history of disciplinary action against license in any jurisdiction. The ideal candidate must have experience in a leadership role and willingness to manage the complex challenges of leading a medical staff in a busy ambulatory care setting.
