This is a full-time position working with adults, families who are seeking safety through protective orders; guidance through custody and child support, and/or U-Visa eligibility. Working to help develop a voice and legal strategy to increase empowerment of the many. Working to help develop best practices in the Clinic and evolve the service into one of premier legal clinics serving in Prince George’s County.  We are a victim services organization, seeking a Family Attorney to join our Legal Clinic. In this role, you will represent and provide consultation, conduct legal research, draft documents, and update and maintain files for a diverse population. Your time will be spent navigating and litigating sensitive legal issues such as protective/peace orders, child custody, shepherding survivors through divorce case information and working with a population involved in child abuse and domestic violence. You will work closely with administrative staff, other colleagues, case managers and executive director to have an impact on the rights of survivors of crime and trauma. We are growing and have a significant need, so if you are a self-starter with experience in family law, helping people have a voice and looking to make a difference, you will enjoy working with us.
