Community Action Region VI is seeking a Food Pantry Coordinator. This position will coordinate the overall operation of the Food Pantry programs and supports Emergency Services programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work collaboratively with all staff to maintain compliance with all program regulations.
• Assist with food pickups.
• Prepare food baskets, stock shelves, and sort food items.
• Promptly, accurately, professionally, and courteously answer telephone calls and acknowledge visitors/clients.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Data entry and reporting for all Food Pantry activity.
• Document all donations received.
• Maintain pantry stock and order pantry items.
• Supervise Food Pantry Assistants.
• Recruit and manage volunteers.
• Arrange food drives as needed.
• Adhere to the Community Action Code of Ethics and confidentiality policy.
• All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver License with ability to be insured by agency insurance carrier.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Hardworking, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
