Community Access Service is Hiring an Employment Specialist Near Beaverton, OR

EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support job seekers in securing community-based employment opportunities, ensuring at least minimum wage, through personalized strategies and evidence-based practices.
  • Develop appropriate placement plans and maintain progress reports.
  • Assist job seekers in accessing vocational training, benefits planning, and relevant services.
  • Conduct ongoing follow-up for individuals who have obtained jobs, spanning a 90-day period.
  • Facilitate connections to community resources and benefits for job seekers.
  • Complete vocational intakes, develop career plans, cultivate employer relationships, conduct job analysis and carvings, and assist with resume/cover letter creation, job coaching, and retention.
  • Establish professional and productive relationships with state and local rehabilitative and developmental disability agencies to enhance the referral process to support program activities.
EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in delivering supported employment services OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supported Employment certifications such as EOP II, Highline, VCU, APSE, etc. preferred.
  • Successful completion of a level II background check
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Capable of reaching, bending, kneeling, standing, and sitting for extended periods as needed.
