POSITION SUMMARY: Transports individuals to and from the Communicare programs in accordance to route and schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED, and have effective communication skills. Must provide own transportation, have a valid vehicle operator license, a clean motor vehicle record check and pass a DOT physical. Must pass a national background check. Must pass Drug and Alcohol screen test and have no record of substance abuse related violations in the past three (3) years.
SKILL SETS: Must have effective communication and writing skills.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIORMENTAL DEMANDS: Frequent talking and hearing needed when communicating with individuals, family, guardian, and staff. May be some lifting when assisting with ambulating or helping into vehicle. Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases. Frequent exposure to adverse, inclement weather conditions. Sitting for long periods of time.
