RN - Division Director of Infection Control

CommuniCare Health Services is currently recruiting an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse, BSN preferred, for the position of Division Director of Infection Control for our Midwest division. CommuniCare's Midwest division currently includes 35 facilities throughout the State of Indiana and Western Ohio.

The ideal candidate will be an RN with a background in Infection Control. Candidate must be IP Certified or willing to obtain IP certification. The position involves 75% travel. Previous multi-facility experience required.

The RN Division Director of Infection Control is a key management position whose responsibilities will include:

• Evaluate facility compliance to clinical policy, procedure, and care.
• Visit facilities weekly for intervention, audit and training.
• Train new nursing management.
• Monitor readiness for State Survey and assist during surveys
• Aid in the Plan of Correction process
• Oversee and direct the Infection Control programs at facilities in the region

Job Requirements:

• Current RN license, BSN preferred
• At least 3 - 5 years experience in Long Term Care and Nursing Consulting
• RN with background in Infection Control
• Must be IP certified or willing to obtain IP certification
• Ability to travel throughout region. 75% travel required
• Previous multi-facility experience required
• DON experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and oversee functions at multiple facilities on a daily basis
• Must maintain current CPR certification
