Under the direction of the Operations Performance Director, the Operations Data Analyst supports the Operations department (including revenue and training teams) by designing and developing actionable and complex reports, automating BI reports, creating predictive analytics projects, supply chain models, dashboards, scorecards, problem solving initiatives and offers solution for complex problems. Assists with identifying ways to reduce expenses without compromising quality. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible to support projects and bring value through Operations. Identifies, distinguishes, and analyzes multiple components of a problem and makes conclusions using high-level quantitative skills. Identifies performance trends, scans business/industry trends, reviews revenue/financial analyses and interprets data. Assists with process improvement initiatives, data mining techniques, statistical analysis, and database management for Operational decisions and performance monitoring.

2. Serves as an analytics/informatics team member utilizing coding, data visualizations and data models. Communicates and explains business requirements to team members to understand and implement functional demands. Works closely with billing team to develop and implement possible automation using EHR/PM functionality.

3. Supports and maintains business intelligence reporting, software and related infrastructure. Works closely with Operations leadership to implement effective system-wide clinical, financial, and operational reporting solutions and custom business intelligence applications that provide accessible information for decision making.

4. Utilizes visualization and presentation tools using technology such as Tableau/Power BI/Domo, or similar, to extract, clean, normalize and translate the data into meaningful outcomes and data sets for business intelligence analysis of financial, operational, and patient care data. Presents data in charts, graphs, tables, designing and developing relational databases for collecting data. 

5. Conducts data analysis to improve the supply chain operation by creating multiple business models including inventory models, target utilization and demand planning. Champions more efficient cost-effective business processes and supply chain analytics. 

6. Analyzes fixed and variable costs by location. Reviews hire plan and makes recommendations based on the current FTE and incoming volume defined in long- and short-term forecast. Optimizes the cost and care initiative by using the power of analytics and constant communication with Operations leadership using data driven messages.

7. Consistently demonstrates a service-oriented mindset by providing excellent internal/external customer service. Ensures all actions, job performance, personal conduct, and communications represent the Center in a highly professional manner at all times. Able to apply sound judgment, emotional intelligence and decorum to sensitive, confidential and unpredictable situations. 

8. Performs other related duties as assigned. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in HIM, Information Technology, or related preferred 

Three years’ experience overseeing EHR implementation and support

Significant expertise in EHR configuration, to include all clinical and business functionality 

Three years’ experience training staff in EHR in a busy healthcare environment

Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT codes and medical terminology

Advanced knowledge of computerized billing systems

Ability to perform well under stress 

Strong communication skills 

Proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 

Ability to travel from site to site within various counties using personal vehicle
