Direct the team functions of the nursing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Monitor team members to assure that established safety regulations on the use of equipment and supplies are adhered to.
Ensure that all nursing work areas and patient care rooms, treatment areas, etc. are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
Assists in Quality Improvement audits of patients’ records.
Use monitoring tools consistently and correctly.
Ensure accident/incident reports are completed for any unusual employee or patient occurrence.
Record all patient information as required.
Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information.

Promptly reports any suspected patient abuse, neglect or misappropriation to the DON
