CommuniCare Health Services is currently recruiting an Internal Controls Specialist to audit our Revenue Cycle processes.

Purpose/Belief Statement:

The Internal Controls Specialist performs monthly audits to assure internal controls are in place for multiple Revenue Cycle processes. This position will frequently interact with Business Office, GL, Treasury, Regional, and Divisional Associates in order to successfully complete the position responsibilities. This position reports to VP of Revenue Cycle (VPRC).

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform Operating Gov/Non-Gov Cash Receipt Audits to assure compliance to policy
• Report RFMS Audit Results Quarterly
• Review and Approve CBC submissions
• Perform Resident Trust Petty Cash Reconciliation Audits
• Review & Approve Monthly Adjustments
• Perform Triple Check Audits
• Perform Write Off Review, Posting, and Reporting
• Perform Medicare Allowable Review, Posting, and Reporting
• Review & Report on Monthly Recurring Report
• Create, modify, and update standard operations procedures (SOP) when applicable
• Other Duties as assigned to support Revenue Cycle Department

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• 2-5 years strong business office experience
• Bachelor or Associates Degree in accounting preferred
• Long-term care experience a plus

• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, both verbal and written
• Ability to create and maintain a True-Blue environment with the team
• Effectively work with team members, home office, facility, Regional & Divisional associates
• Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Strong task management and organizational skills, understanding priorities
• Displays a high degree of confidentiality
• Ability to complete analytical reports
