Staff Accountant

CommQuest seeks a Full Time Accountant to work at our CommQuest Metro building, in Canton, Ohio. You will ensure reconciliations and journal entries are completed timely and correctly. Maintain all tracking of various grant funding and a fixed-asset schedule, as well as assisting with the Agency's' month-end closing process.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare bank and various account reconciliations
  • Post journal entries
  • Assist month-end closing process
  • Maintain fixed-asset schedule
  • Maintain tracking of various grant funding
  • Provide additional support as needed

Schedule:

Monday through Friday; Days

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration. 3-5 years of related experience in the healthcare field (prefer Behavioral Health/AOD) desired.
  • Experience in purchasing and vendor management required.
  • Knowledge of cash posting and balancing, invoicing, and public funding sources is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel highly desired.
  • Must be experienced with NextGen or other billing systems.
  • Must be experienced with Behavioral Health/AOD Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care, and private insurance billing.
