THE POSITION

Our Fine Wine & Good Spirits location at the Shrewsbury Commons Shopping Center is seeking a full-time Liquor Store General Manager 3A, apply for this exciting opportunity today!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Liquor Store General Manager 3A, you will supervise, manage, and direct activities in state-owned Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. Within this role, you will implement and apply policy and procedure to store operations, assign and evaluate work, and promote exceptional customer relations. General managers are accountable for the entire store operation which includes sales, store maintenance, merchandise and cash accounting, maintenance of records, and all related functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours vary between 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Sunday - Saturday.
  • Work hours will vary. Scheduled hours will be equal to 75 hours/biweekly.
  • Salary:The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees may be negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Liquor Store General Manager 2B; or
  • Two years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 3 or a Liquor Store General Manager 2A; or
  • Three years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 2 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1B; or
  • Four years as a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1 or a Liquor Store General Manager 1A; or
  • Five years of supervisory retail sales work.

Other Requirements:
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
