DESCRIPTION OF WORK

An Aging Case Aide 1 provides intake and referral services for older adults via telephone, in-person office visits, and in-person home visits. This involves obtaining information from older adults, family members, the public, and other community members in order to gather the information necessary to determine eligibility for services. Other responsibilities include providing explanations of community services and assisting older adults with the completion of governmental forms and applications. This position collaborates with the Aging Care Managers and service providers to coordinate services, conduct follow-up, and assist with clerical duties. Advocate for older adults and ensure their needs are met. Become a key part of our compassionate team!

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

• One year of public contact work, which involved obtaining or providing information; or
• Any equivalent of experience and training.

• Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Lawrence or Mercer counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.

• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
