As a PICU Nurse, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children from newborns to 18 years old. In the PICU, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young patients facing a diverse range of medical challenges. From congenital cardiac defects and respiratory diseases to trauma injuries, transplantations (liver, heart, kidney), neurosurgical procedures, orthopedic interventions, and general surgical cases, our team tackles a wide spectrum of cases.
As a PICU Nurse, you'll be at the forefront of critical care, routinely managing patients requiring vasoactive infusions, mechanical ventilation, intracranial and hemodynamic monitoring, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and ventricular assist devices (VAD). Capable clinician, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. Consistently provides effective direct care, as part of the interdisciplinary team, to a variety of complex patients. Seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice. Assumes a beginning leadership role but seeks mentoring in this process.

Position Compensation Range: $39.90 - $53.00 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
