Job Duties

Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is looking to hire a dynamic QA professional for a position with its IT Services administration. This position is open to current DMV employees only.

The QA Analyst will be responsible for providing advanced computer analytical, technical, and programming automation development services to support the testing of computer applications used by DMV’s customers and employees. These applications include Mainframe, Windows client applications and web applications. 
In addition, this position will assist with the research, integration, development and implementation of tools, technologies, methods, and systems which expand or enhance automated testing capabilities of the Agency. This advanced position will also be involved in mentoring and training other Agency staff on QA testing practices.
This position involves working onsite for the first 3 months of employment with hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) thereafter.

Minimum Qualifications

•Experience documenting test strategies and test cases that meet the necessary testing of systems designed and that conform to functional and nonfunctional requirements.
•Working experience developing, implementing, and maintaining test data and environments required for testing.
•Working experience designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated testing solutions using test automation tools & frameworks such as Micro Focus UFT.
•Experience testing applications across a range of technologies including web, mobile, batch processing, web services, and messaging, mainframe, and reporting.
•Working experience developing and incorporating new functionality into existing test scripts based upon a requested need or change in design.
•Effective communication, presentation, and reasoning skills, with the ability to work well in a team oriented, collaborative environment, and with users across all levels of experience.
•Demonstrated good understanding of regression testing across multiple platforms.

Additional Considerations

•Progressive experience in information technology positions.
•Demonstrated ability to function independently or with limited supervision, and to meet approved development schedules.
