General Information:

The Department of Procurement Services is responsible for the procurement and all contractual agreements of goods, services and construction for the University. In addition, we oversee the University’s Supplier Diversity initiative and all university related eVA processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will support low complexity university procurements and contracts. Position may review low dollar/low complexity agreements prior to Buyer Signature. The position will support campus in their process to complete copier lease agreements and will manage various lease tracking duties. Position may assist campus end users to reconcile supplier issues. Position will provide back-up support to Buyers in the review of purchase order compliance to contract requirements. Position will assist Buyers in market research/reporting in advance of a Procurement and may assist in other reporting, and contract administration activities after award. This position may ultimately support any commodity for goods, services and construction as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Strong technical aptitude to work with various systems/software.
Attention to detail.
Excellent organization skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to read and interpret legal terms and conditions.
Additional Considerations:
Knowledge of eVA, PeopleSoft and Adobe, or other similar software/systems would be beneficial.
Experience with negotiation and issue resolution would be beneficial.
Experience with data analysis and reporting would be beneficial.

Conditions of Employment:

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.

Additional Posting Information:

This position will typically work 20-24 hours per week, but may occasionally be requested to work up to the maximum of 29 hours per week. Hours worked will be Monday-Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Exact schedule has some flexibility and will be mutually agreed upon with the selected candidate.
