Job Description
Plan, prepare, cook and provide nutritious lunches and snacks at the Virginia Tech Child Development Center. Shops for groceries as needed. Keep area, appliances, and equipment clean and sanitized, as well as perform laundering duties. Keep the laundry area clean.
Required Qualifications
Some demonstrated knowledge of food preparation and cooking; ability to follow instructions; some knowledge of general safety rules and sanitation in food handling; good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to safely move and handle up to 50 pounds. Must have an awareness of any child specific dietary allergies and restrictions at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food preparation and cooking for children. Serv Safe certified.
