Job Duties

To provide training and supervision to inmate workers while ensuring quality crop production for the support of beef and dairy consumption. To keep the farm fields and grounds well maintained, to service and maintain all agricultural equipment, to plan and coordinate gardens, greenhouses, and aquaculture operations, and to assist other areas of Agribusiness in the support of operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED, driver’s license. Knowledge of farm operation and agriculture production. The demonstrated ability to follow directions and supervise inmates. Skilled in teamwork.

Additional Considerations

Commercial pesticide license with at least 5 years of application experience. Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Experience in orchard maintenance, production of vegetable gardens, greenhouse operations, and fish production. Extensive knowledge in all aspects of modern farming techniques and technologies, including the use and repair of farm machinery. The demonstrated ability to coordinate farm/greenhouse/aquaculture projects.
