Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an Assistant Director for Intercultural Learning and Program Director for Mozaiko LLC to join the Cranwell International Center (CIC) team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission. Here’s what you need to know about the role:
1) You’ll be joining the Cranwell International Center, a department that exists to articulate, advocate, and act in support of international students, amplifying their contributions to the Virginia Tech community and the advancement of the university as more globally oriented and internationally connected.
2) You’ll report to the Associate Director of International Student Programs. This position is a Regular, Calendar Year, 100% Administrative Professional appointment.
3) You’ll be primarily serving as the leader of intercultural learning efforts within Cranwell International Center and the Mozaiko Living-Learning Community.
4) You’ll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
5) You’ll be offered a salary range from $52,000 - $60,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!
Required Qualifications• The selected individual must be a seasoned educator with an unrelenting commitment to student success, learning, and diversity
• Master's degree in intercultural communication, language education, international affairs, counseling, student affairs, higher education administration, or related field
• Knowledge of best practices for student programming and assessment
• Demonstrated experience in the design, development, implementation, and assessment of intercultural programming
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in living-learning communities
• Experience facilitating, presenting, or delivering training
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
• Supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications• Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and/or providing ongoing leadership for a Living learning community, particularly an LLC with a global and/or intercultural theme/focus
• Demonstrated commitment to multilingualism to train global leaders.
• Demonstrated intercultural competence.
