DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Under the guidance of a higher-level professional, you will help with the care, treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with drug, alcohol, and substance abuse and dependence problems.
As a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Specialist 1, you will encourage inmates in overcoming their anxieties, obtain their cooperation in the continuance of their treatment services, and discuss any other issues related to their ongoing recovery .
You will also learn more about drug and alcohol treatment services to further develop professional counseling skills and techniques.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :
One year of para-professional experience providing drug and alcohol counseling services directly to clients in a social work setting;
and certification by the PA Chemical Abuse Certification Board as a "Certified Addictions Counselor"; or
