Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is Hiring a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor Near Montgomery, PA

We invite you to join District 6-0 as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor and play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of quality and safety for our projects. Your leadership abilities and construction inspection expertise will be valued in this rewarding position. Take the next step in your career with us and contribute to our team's success!Your role will involve supervising a construction inspection team and performing various technical duties related to transportation construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed according to approved plans, standards, and specifications. This includes overseeing the inspection of materials and workmanship, as well as providing instructions on sampling, testing, and inspection techniques to contractors and subordinates. As the inspector-in-charge, you will also be involved in verifying cut and fill, checking elevation grades, and supervising the inspection and placement of materials.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector; or
  • Two years of construction inspection experience and an associate’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
  • This position requires possession of a valid non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver’s License or equivalent.
