In this position, you will evaluate compliance with state and federal regulations that pertain to long-term care providers and facilities, and investigate complaints relative to the quality of care, quality of life, and services provided to residents. Work is performed through the application of knowledge, established methods, practices, procedures, policies and regulations related to the various professional disciplines in the health care field. You will demonstrate critical thinking and display professional judgment in your daily work duties. You will conduct surveys to determine facility compliance, analyze data and write reports, review incident reports and provide follow-up, and prepare deficiency statements when necessary.
This position requires irregular work hours. Frequent travel within Allegheny, Westmoreland, Beaver, Butler, Greene, Washington, Armstrong, and Fayette counties is a requirement of this position. You will be required to carry a cell phone and respond to complaints during off-hours. Statewide travel, overnight travel and flexible work hours are required in order to accommodate state and federal mandates.
