The Department of Transportation is currently in search of a skilled and passionate individual to take on the role of Environmental Planning Supervisor. You will play a key role in integrating environmental policies and procedures into various department functions, such as planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
In your role as the Environmental Planning Supervisor, you will support the section chief and department managers in incorporating environmental policies, procedures, and technical guidance into various activities such as planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and reporting on documents within the bureau. It is also your duty to review, interpret, and implement new regulations and legislation related to environmental affairs. Collaboration with other divisions, bureaus, and agencies is necessary. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.This position is eligible for alternate work schedule.Employee will be headquartered at a district office closest to the employee's home, with the exception of employees living or working in the Harrisburg area, who will be headquartered out of Central Office. This position requires frequent statewide travel.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
