In this position, you will gain knowledge and put into practice engineering principles in the areas of hydraulic design and analysis, roadway construction and maintenance, bridges, flood control structures, and other engineering projects. • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
• Compensation is credit based:
  • Less than 90 credits - $20.35
    Over 90 credits - $21.22

QUALIFICATIONS
Students who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements:

• Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time or part-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester.
• Enrolled part or full-time for the next semester by the start of the internship in an applicable major.
• In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher).
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Special Requirement: Certain positions require a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

• Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
