The primary responsibility of this position is the provision of supportive and supplemental services to children in placement, their foster families, and their natural families. The Social Services Aide normally joins with caseworkers and social workers in a teamwork relationship to increase the intensity and effectiveness of service delivery.
You will be responsible for providing transportation to clients to facilitate medical appointments, psychiatric or psychological appointments, family visits, school attendance when placed temporarily out of school districts, and help with other transportation needs of the office. Work also includes providing regular feedback to workers including observations of family, children and foster family, and effectiveness of service plan. You will have the opportunity to meet with family, workers, and other members of the agency team to review and revise service plan to include goals, objectives, specific tasks, responsibilities, and time frames.
