The County Social Services Aide 1 assists caseworkers with managing their caseload. Some of those duties include assisting with supervision of visitations, attending CAC interviews and assisting with documentation in the case management system. You will have the opportunity to provide assistance to families regarding activities of daily living including but not limited to home maintenance and care, in-home parenting education, proper hygiene, nutrition, and food shopping and preparation. Your work may include transporting consumers to supervised visitation and necessary appointments. When necessary, you may be required to provide childcare.

Other duties include:

• Assisting in completing applications/forms.
• Completing a written report of each appointment with consumers.
• Participating in meetings with other staff to develop treatment plans and set goals for consumers.
• Attending court and testifying, if needed.
• Performing other clerical office duties.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment.
• Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• May require work after hours.
• Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Graduation from high school; or
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
