By joining our Engineering Support Branch/Equipment Section as a Transportation Auto Truck Technician IV in Hopkins County, you’ll have the opportunity to perform the more difficult and complicated mechanical repair work and operate various technical machinery and tools and inspect and road test all repairs.
Holders of the Transportation Auto Truck Technician IV position will complete tasks such as:

• Maintain district wide equipment, including track hoes, dump trucks, loaders, pumps, etc.
• Maintain equipment during snow and ice operations.
• Keep records and prepares reports of work performed.
• Serve as supervisor in absence of TATT V or Transportation Med/Heavy Truck Manager.

Holders of this job will obtain the following skills:

• Computer skills.
• Mechanic Skills.
• ASE certifications.

Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:

• 7 yrs of automotive/equipment/truck repair technical experience.
• Be ASE certified master technician in medium/heavy truck or automotive test series.
• Have a Class A CDL.
• Experience operating equipment, understand the importance of safety & willingness to promote a safe work environment.

Additional position information: Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to work, sit, stoop, and bend. Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds, must be able to respond to emergencies. Some travel may be required for training. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
