Description

Waveland State Historic Site is a 14-acre park with an antebellum mansion and outbuildings, .25-mile trail, playground, and gardens.
The Part Time Parks Museum Curatorial Assistant will be responsible for a variety of curatorial and administrative tasks. The incumbent will work closely with the park manager on a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Documenting and maintaining the artifact collection
• Overseeing park events including Tuesday Teas and the Waveland Art Fair
• Supervising seasonal docent staff on history of the park and proper tour procedures
• Conducting daily business operations

A knowledge of CatalogIt museum software and previous curatorial experience is required.
