Description
The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long-term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking a self-motivated, caring individual to be the Nurse Program Administrator (Assistant Director of Nursing) of our Nursing Department. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serving Kentucky's Veterans. Key Responsibilities:
Ensures clinical rounds are completed and makes recommendations as necessary.
Assists the Nurse Executive in establishing/defining duties of nursing staff to ensure they are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Evaluates resident care on a daily basis, ensuring resident care needs are met.
Assumes the responsibilities of Director of Nursing in his/her absence.
Conducts performance evaluations.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: See Special Requirements.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A bachelor's degree in nursing will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
