By joining the Division for Air Quality as an Environmental Scientist I in Franklin county, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for beginning level inspections at permitted sources, responding to citizen complaints, and providing technical assistance to regulated facilities and the general public.
Holders of the Environmental Scientist I position will complete tasks such as:
- Review reports submitted by facilities.
- Conduct source inspections.
- Respond to citizen complaints.
- Witness stack tests.
- Assist facility personnel with questions.
- Method 9 Certification.
- HAZWOPER 40hr (and annual recertification).
- First Aid / CPR training and certification.
- Decision making skills.
