Our Financial Service Representatives (FSRs) consistently provide quality member service. They professionally handle our members' financial needs--including performing account transactions, completing loan applications, opening new memberships, and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). They complete all account maintenance requests, including assistance with account discrepancies, fraud disputes, wire transfers, account closings, etc. They maintain knowledge of products and services to confidently support the credit union's sales efforts. They consult with members to match credit union products and services with their needs.

The duties of a Financial Service Representative include, but are not limited to:

Results Focused

  • Utilizing a consultative approach to identify current and future financial needs to promote and sell credit union products and services.
  • Analyzing credit report and making sound recommendations and solutions to members and underwriters.
  • Actively contributing to branch and organizational goals, including community events, and developing business partner relationships.

Relationships and Member Experience

  • Representing the credit union courteously and professionally by providing prompt, efficient and accurate service.
  • Embracing 'serving the next member" in the lobby, on the teller line, and on the phone.
  • Efficiently utilizing all forms of communication, including Synapsis (CRM), in a clear and concise manner, and collaborating with others to meet member needs.

Development

  • Taking ownership for personal and professional growth seeking opportunities through cross-selling and involvement in committees.
  • Actively participating in one-to-one meetings, openly accepting feedback and coaching, and adjusting behaviors accordingly.
  • Taking ownership and accountability for errors and making adjustments to prevent future errors.

Team 1 Support

  • Displaying commitment and dependability by being self-aware and creating positive team relationships, sharing a sense of urgency, and providing exceptional internal service.
  • Actively engaging in team meetings and in assigned committees.
  • Encouraging team commitment and support through "cheerleading" our multiple initiatives and programs -- Switch It, CuneXus, Synapsis, etc.
  • Carrying out all other duties as assigned.

Risk Management

  • Maintaining knowledge and a heightened awareness of all organizational security, including physical security, confidentiality, compliance, and cybersecurity.
  • Communicating any suspicious activity to management immediately.
  • Properly identifying members prior to service and maintaining trust by keeping member information confidential and secure.
  • Maintaining knowledge of current regulations and staying up to date on all required regulatory and compliance classes and potential threats.
  • Adhering to established security procedures.

SATURDAY HOURS ARE REQUIRED.

WILL BE ASKED TO ASSIST AT OTHER BRANCHES IF NEEDED.
