Responsibilities

At Virginia Mason our Registered Nurses blend skill, expertise and critical thinking with care, compassion and personal relationships to truly connect with their patients.CP12 is a medical surgical unit specializing in short stay surgeries and procedures. On our procedural side we see patients post cardiac cath/EP labs that have undergone heart catheterizations, ablations, TAVRs, pacemaker placements, and others. These patients frequently have TR bands to manage, sheaths, and/or require groin management. For our surgical side, we see patients from the PACU that have undergone thryoidectomies, TURPs, mastectomies, hysterectomies, among others. Our Registered Nurses, physicians and other team members collaborate to provide the most positive patient experience possible. Responsibilities: The registered nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services -Assists the patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. - Collaborating with physicians and other health care professionals, the Registered Nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.

Qualifications

  • We require: - Current WA State RN license is required. - 1 or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients.
  • Other certifications may be required for specialty areas. - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing. Preferred Qualifications:
  • ACLS preferred. Virginia Mason offers much more than competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
