This job has primary organizational responsibility for all aspects of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet/Pathways to Excellence application, designation and re-designation process across the Pacific Northwest Region (PNW) of CommonSpirit Health in the pursuit of nursing excellence. An incumbent will develop a plan to ensure compliance and maintenance with Magnet/Pathways requirements throughout the lifecycle of preparing for application, designation and re-designation of this award. The incumbent works in close collaboration with the VMFH Chief Nursing Officers (CNO) and Directors of Nursing Operations (DNO) across the PNW Region and functions as primary liaison with the ANCC in relation to Magnet/Pathways to Excellence programs.Work is performed independently with limited supervision. Work situations are varied with emphasis on data management, accreditation documents and professional writing, shared governance, program management, customer relations, standardization, communication, prioritization, flexibility and creativity across all PNW region hospital facilities.
The incumbent identifies, develops and maintains comprehensive data management systems that support information submission to ANCC and enables accurate tracking of key performance indicators. Provides leadership and oversight of the programs by assessing enterprise readiness, ensuring improvement strategies to meet criteria are formulated and implemented and oversees the development and completion of the application processes. This role assists leaders throughout the organization to ensure nurses are informed and updated on an ongoing basis about Pathways to Excellence and Magnet program initiatives, developments and progress and serves as the programmatic and operational lead for these two designations.
Master’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
