The Radiation Therapist delivers accurate therapeutic doses of radiation to precisely defined targets for curative and palliative treatment of cancer/benign neoplasms. This job performs therapy simulation and constructs required patient immobilization devices prior to treatment; and performs activities (e.g., conducting chart checks, answering phones) in support of patient treatment and the department.

Completion of a JCAHO-accredited program in radiation therapy required. Current certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required. Licensure with the Washington state Department of Health required. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong skills in using PC and software packages (e.g., MS Office); knowledge of radiation therapy software (e.g., IMPAC) a plus.
