This job is responsible for serving as the central point of contact for the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) donor database, a multi-faceted fundraising and constituent relationship management (CRM) system that holds all donor records and is the key element in both gift acknowledgement (external) and financial tracking (internal). An incumbent also supports multiple related software applications and interacts with CommonSpirit Health (CSH) Information Technology and/or database/software vendors to gain and maintain an understanding of system functionality and related challenges.
An incumbent assures the integrity of the data to facilitate effective communication with current and potential donors and support the philanthropic work of the VMFH Foundation. Work includes: 1) routine problem-solving, troubleshooting and appropriate escalation of issues to higher-level management; 2) reporting and/or implementing solutions (within scope of position) to resolve issues and/or errors; 3) understanding and applying IT-related policies, procedures and protocols; 4) delivering user training and/or answering user questions per established procedures/protocols; 5) producing reports and ad hoc queries; 6) resolving process and/or non-technical user issues within scope of position; and 7) and maintaining user security per established guidelines.
An incumbent is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of the overall functionality and current workflow processes/procedures relating to the donor database and for the ability to keep abreast of organizational priorities/objectives and changing regulatory requirements in support of philanthropic operational objectives . Work also requires the ability to support and apply current understanding of other Foundation-related applications to articulate challenges and troubleshoot with vendors and team members.
Education/Work Experience Requirements:Associate’s degree in a related field and two years of related work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities. Work experience with a non-profit organization’s donor and financial records database is preferred.
Or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
