Responsibilities

This is a remote position.

The System Director SSRM Vendor Management (‘Director, Vendor Management’) is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing a robust Vendor Management Program. This will include, developing vendor profiles, scorecards, dashboards, collecting quality and service issue information, and helping facilitate Business Review meetings with our top Vendors. The Director, Vendor Management will need to work across the CommonSpirit Health (‘CSH’) category teams, operations and other key internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Sourcing Teams and Regional Vice Presidents of Operations in the development, monitoring and corrective action plans within a robust Vendor Management Program to ensure speed to and sustainment of value.
  • Develop vendor profiles, dashboards and scorecards to help consolidate strategic, quality and service information to assist with strategy and vendor management.
  • Coordinates Business Reviews with Vendors, Sourcing Teams, and Regional Vice Presidents of Operations (as needed) to sustain value with an opportunistic mindset for development of relationships that increase value to CSH.
  • Help drive a cultural shift towards taking a more holistic approach to vendor negotiations and contacting by looking at the spend, services, and contractual issues across the entire spectrum.
  • Partner with System Director, Contracting to develop Key Performance Indicators that are measurable to ensure vendor compliance with contracting terms and conditions ensuring that projected contracted value is captured and maintained.
  • Makes independent decisions and/or exercises sound judgment based upon appropriate information and objectives. Comprehends and maintains highly detailed information. Accepts and carries out responsibility for direction, control, and planning.
  • Extend Vendor Management process and services to include spend categories not directly managed by our teams (ex Lab, Food & Nutrition, etc).
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Healthcare Administration (or other similar) is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of contracting and or supply chain experience with evidence of progressive, increasing responsibility.
  • Minimum of three years of Supervisory experience.
  • Strength in building a strong and collaborative team.
  • Experience with and literate in supply chain computer applications, Microsoft Office applications, Google tools and user knowledge of each to achieve Supply Chain goals.
  • Proven negotiation capability
  • Familiarity with supplier contracting and procurement processes 
  • Demonstrated process and project management 
  • General knowledge of healthcare operations and medical device industry issues 
  • Analytical and financial skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Possesses good organizational and task oriented capabilities
  • Excellent oral, written skills and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates leadership presence and maintains confidentiality 
  • Possesses developed interpersonal skills to work in a high profile and fast paced team environment 
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously within established timelines
