CommonSpirit Health is Hiring a Dietitian Near PARK RAPIDS, MN

Overview

As a Registered Dietitian at CHI St. Joseph's Health, you will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy that uses evidence based guidelines using established Nutrition Care Process Standards. Every interaction is an opportunity to improve your understanding of patient's and client's needs as you consulate in the outpatient setting for St. Joseph's WIC program; Cass County's WIC program in addition to some remote coverage CHI St. Gabriel's Health and CHI LakeWood Health.

To thrive in this role, you need to be accountable and confident. You're an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. You'll have the ability to assess patient care records for nutrition risk per policy and develop a care plan for patients identified at nutrition risk per established guidelines. Your attention to detail will shine through your care plans implementation and documentation of the care provided in the Electronic Medical Record according to JCAHO approved policy. As our Registered Dietitian, you will also provide follow-up care to the patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient records and nutritional risks. 
  • Create care plans. 
  • Follow-up at least every three (3) days while the patient is hospitalized and assists in planning follow-up care as needed for discharge.
  • Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy and Education to patients that are on a prescribed diet and assures that diet restrictions are followed prior to discharge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with completion of accredited dietitian program (ACEND – Accreditation Councils for Education in Nutrition Dietetics)
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Current (within the past 12 month) ServSafe® Allergen and Food Handler Certifications. If not currently certified, certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
