CommonSpirit Health is Hiring a Clinical Pharmacist Near Hot Springs, AR

  • Overview* As our Pharmacist at CHI St Vincent, you’ll help our doctors and nurses safely prescribe and dispense medications to help our patients feel better and recover from their illness or injury.
You’ll build trust in these interactions by reviewing every prescription in your queue. We never rely entirely on the computer to check for safety; we always use an expert for the final check. That’s you. You’ll review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, patient allergies or anything that looks unusual in your opinion. Assuming everything is fine, you’ll send the order to a pharmacy technician to be filled and then check again before dispensing the medicine to the nursing station.
To excel in this role, you must enjoy learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide solutions for real people. You should also continually look for ways to go above and beyond for your patients, delivering an exceptional experience along with exceptional care.
  • About Us: *
  • CHI St Vincent Hot Springs* is a 280 bed faith-based, non-profit, Magnet Accredited facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. As the only level II trauma center in the southwest part of the state, CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is the regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neuro, ortho, oncology and critical care/pulmonary. We have also been voted as one of Arkansas Best Places to Work by Arkansas Business since 2019. We have earned top patient safety ratings from Leapfrog and was recently named as one of the Nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in Fortune and PINC AI.
If you are committed to social justice, health equity, and prepared to deliver care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us.
  • Responsibilities*
  • Review prescriptions in queue for safety and accuracy. Check patient’s allergies, weight, renal function, lab test results, etc. to ensure any medications prescribed will be safe and effective. Make recommendations if you see an error or know another medication would be better.
  • Review any compounded or filled medications once the pharmacy technician has completed them for accuracy.
  • Attend interdisciplinary meetings with various groups, such as the breast or gastrointestinal cancer groups, to provide information and be a pharmacy resource.
  • Provide CommonSpirit’s level of exceptional service to all patients or nurses filling orders.
  • We are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.*
  • Qualifications*
  • Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy, which includes approved internship and/or residency.
  • Must be licensed to practice in the State of Arkansas, or graduate intern
  • Pharm D preferred, but not required
  • Previous acute care experience preferred, but not required
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
While you’re busy impacting the healthcare industry, we’ll take care of you with benefits that include health/dental/vision, FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, adoption assistance, and more!
